Fan-favorite map Nuketown returns for Call of Duty: Black Ops III

Treyarch has revealed that fan-favorite multiplayer map Nuketown is being remade for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Now called Nuk3town, players will gain access to the map be pre-ordering the game on PS4, Xbox One, or PC. No word on a PS3 or Xbox 360 version of Nuk3town.

Nuk3town Call of Duty Black Ops III

Nuketown was first introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops where it quickly became a fan favorite. It was re-released for Call of Duty: Black Ops II where it was named Nuketown 2025. Like in Black Ops, Nuketown was extremely popular in Black Ops II.

“The Nuketown maps have a special place in Call of Duty multiplayer history and we can’t wait to build upon that heritage in Black Ops III,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch.  “We carefully adapted the design of the map to make sure that it fit with our new movement system, but to also make sure that we retained the spirit and the fun that made fans fall in love with it in the first place.”
Nuk3town will be delivered to players through a code included in the game box of launch copies, and as a digital code for digital copies. Call of Duty: Black Ops III is out November 6 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
