Ed Boon is back to his teasing ways. The NetherRealm Studios head has tweeted out a new picture showcasing the silhouettes of four brand new kharacters for Mortal Kombat X, and a single word; “Tomorrow.”
Unsurprisingly, its extremely difficult to guess who any of the characters could be. Of course, NetherRealm Studios has a large roster of characters to choose from. Sindel, Rain, and Baraka could all be fought in the main campaign, but were never made playable. Seeing as Tanya, who could be fought in the campaign, was eventually released as DLC, the other three characters are potential candidates. Then there is the large roster of characters who only appeared in cutscenes. Bo Rai Cho, Lei Mei, Sareena, Smoke, Fujin, and Kabal all made appearances in-game.
There’s always the possibility that one or two are guest kharacters. Jason Voorhees and Predator took up two of four spaces in Kombat Pack 1. We’ll figure out who the next four kharacters are sometime tomorrow. Mortal Kombat X is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
