Save Corruption Bug found in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Do you love Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain? Have you already sunk tens of hours into the game? Well don’t erase those hard earned hours by corrupting your save in Missions 29 and 42.

Konami have sent out an update revealing a save corruption bug to be present in Mission 29 and Mission 42. The bug is triggered when using Quiet as a buddy in either mission. Until a solution is worked out, Konami highly suggests you do use anybody but Quiet as your buddy. If you do, there is a possibility that your save data may get corrupted and become unusable. This bug has been found on all five – PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 – versions of the game.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launched September 1 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. In our review, we found Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to be the epitome of stealth action, and a fitting end to Hideo Kojima’s decade-spanning Metal Gear franchise despite a few bugs.
