Major Nelson Unboxes All Halo 5 Editions

Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb and 343 Industries’ Executive Producer Josh Holmes have an unboxing video up for all the various Halo 5: Guardians editions, but it misses one crucial point of an unboxing: the unboxing.

When the video starts, Major Nelson and Holmes have already unpackaged and laid bare the contents of Halo 5, so really, they’re just showing off what’s included rather than actually going through that sweet, sweet unboxing porn we’ve all come to see. Same goes for the collector’s edition, console bundle and accessories. Still, you do get to see what each package will come with, get a look at the custom console (no, they don’t play the custom on/off sounds), the figures and the new controllers fashioned after Master Chief’s Spartan armor.

The video confirms once again that yes, the collector’s edition will not come with a physical disc but a download code instead, which many fans bristled at; Microsoft announced months ago that fans will be able to exchange their download codes for physical discs, but didn’t go over the details of that here in this video.

Halo 5: Guardians hits Xbox One on October 27.
