UK Charts: Oryx is no Match for the Might of FIFA 16

FIFA 16 shoots and scores in the UK, knocking Destiny: The Taken King out of the top spot. The EA sports game was down 7% compared to FIFA 15’s week one sales, mostly due to the declining sales of games on the 7th-gen consoles. Revenue for FIFA 16 only dropped 4% compared to last year thanks to the 8th-gen versions and Deluxe/Ultimate Team packs. PS3/Xbox 360 sales of FIFA 16 made up only 19% of sales compared to 45% for last year’s FIFA 15.

Destiny: The Taken King drops to second place in its second week of release. Activision shouldn’t be too heartbroken though. Skylanders Superchargers, Activision’s latest toys-to-life title, races into fourth place. This is three places higher than last year’s game, Trap Team, launched at.
