Life Is Strange Limited Edition Trailer Released

Publisher Square Enix and developer Dontnod Entertainment released on Monday the official trailer for Life Is Strange Limited Edition.

The minute-long trailer, which can be viewed below, has Life Is Strange heroine Maxine Caulfield explaining how she’s returned to her hometown of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, and that she’s learned that she possesses the ability to rewind time.

Dontnod announced the Limited Edition last month, with the physical version of the episodic series including all five episodes of Life Is Strange on a disc, a 32-page art book, director’s commentary and the official soundtrack.

Life Is Strange Limited Edition is confirmed for release in North America on January 19, 2016, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Additionally, Dontnod revealed that a PC version would be coming to the region due to the “popular demand” received for the title.

The Limited Edition will be launching in Europe on January 22, 2016, for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Square Enix also has plans to release Dontnod’s title in Japan for PS4, PS3 and PC, while some Life Is Strange fans have tasked themselves with localizing the game into Arabic.

While neither Square Enix nor Dontnod confirmed that a sequel is in development, Life Is Strange script doctor Alain Damasio revealed in an interview last month that he would work on Life Is Strange 2 if the title were put into development.

Life Is Strange is available as a digital download on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Hardcore Gamer reviewed Life Is Strange in its entirety, saying that “The artwork and visuals in the title make it stand out from its competition, while also taking advantage of the rewind mechanic and embedding it at the heart of every choice that can be made.”
