EA Sports released on Tuesday a new video featuring former Manchester United footballers Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs assembling their all-time legends team on FIFA 16’s Ultimate Team mode.
Neville and Giggs, who are part of United’s distinguished Class of ’92, begin the video (posted below) by selecting a conventional 4-4-2 formation for their team and proceed to compare the different FIFA 16 legends that are vying for a place in each position.
Of course, Giggs and Neville both have their own legends cards in FIFA 16’s Ultimate Team, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the Manchester United assistant manager and the newly appointed head coach at Valencia put forward a strong case for their inclusion in the starting XI.
Listed below are the eleven world-renowned footballers featured in Neville and Giggs’ Ultimate Team squad:
- GK: Peter Schmeichel (Denmark)
- LB: Paolo Maldini (Italy)
- CB: Fabio Cannavaro (Italy)
- CB: Bobby Moore (England)
- RB: Gary Neville (England)
- LM: Ryan Giggs (Wales)
- CM: Roy Keane (Republic of Ireland)
- CM: Patrick Vieira (France)
- RM: George Best (Northern Ireland)
- ST: Pelé (Brazil)
- ST: Dennis Bergkamp (Netherlands)
EA Sports has confirmed on its official website that Neville and Giggs’ squad will be available in Ultimate Team’s ‘Legends Challenge’ from 6.00 p.m. (GMT) on December 8 until next Tuesday, December 15.
Additionally, it’s worth remembering that FIFA 16’s legends are an exclusive feature for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, meaning PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC users will miss out on the opportunity to compete with the legends team, unfortunately.
FIFA 16, which recently claimed the top spot of the UK sales chart for the sixth time, is the first instalment in the longstanding popular football franchise to introduce female footballers eligible for selection in head-to-head matches.
Hardcore Gamer’s review for FIFA 16 emphasized that “the presence of the women’s national teams is a huge boon to the series that adds another exciting dynamic,” while suggesting that “FUT Draft and the impressive gameplay tweaks makes FIFA 16 a clear winner.”
Last week, the Guinness World Records presented English footballer Saheed Adebayo Akinfenwa with an award for the ‘Strongest Player in the FIFA Videogames Series,’ having averaged a strength rating of 97.6 out of 99 from his statistics in the past five FIFA titles.
