Michael Fassbender Finally Plays an Assassin’s Creed Game

Michael Fassbender, star of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed and X-Men: Apocalypse films, has finally taken the time to sit down and play through an Assassin’s Creed game.

One would think that Fassbender would have knowledge of the Assassin’s Creed franchise consdiering he did sign on to star and produce the December 2016 title. Unfortunately, that’s a incorrect assumption. It was only till recently that Michael Fassbender was able to sit down with his PS4 and play one of the games.

“I’ve played it since [being offered the job] mainly to get an idea of the physicality of the character,” Fassbender told Entertainment Weekly. “We’re striving to find something special. We believe the whole concept around it is special and want to service that the best we can. The fans are really passionate: very specific and they expect accuracy and historical detail. We’re really trying to capitalize and feed on and enjoy the fun element. We’re working hard to make this something special.”

Michael Fassbender stars as Callum Lynch in Assassin’s Creed, a brand new character created for the film. He did not divulge which Assassin’s Creed title he played, and there are a lot of Assassin’s Creed games he could have picked.
