UK Charts: Call of Duty: Black Ops III Kicks Off 2016 at the Top

Call of Duty: Black Ops III ended 2015 at the top, and kicks off 2016 at the top. Activision and Treyarch’s latest entry in the long running franchise remains a dominant force on the UK Charts, and will likely hold onto the top spot for the foreseeable future. With no physical releases until late January and early February, Black Ops III could hold the top spot for a very long time.

With no new releases, older titles battle for position within the Top 20. FIFA 16 finally broke through last week and took Star Wars Battlefront’s second place. EA and DICE’s shooter has to settle for third place this week. Grand Theft Auto V takes fourth place away from another open-world game, Fallout 4. Battlefield 4, now two years old, experience a surge and manages to re-enter the Top 10. This is mostly thanks to price cuts for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, which accounted for 97% of its sales last week.
