The huge Gallimimus joins Studio Wildcard’s in-progress dinosaur-filled, open-world, MMO survival game “ARK: Survival Evolved”. From what we know from real life archaeology, the Gallimimus resembled a large, ostrich-like shape and was a possible omnivore. But in ARK, it is a herbivore with no retaliation to threats, save for running away. However, its speed is nothing to scoff at and its large form allows it to carry a total of three players atop its back using a specially-designed saddle. Its speed and versatility as a vehicle are balanced, of course, by its lack of offensive capabilities.
The prehistoric ostrich creature isn’t the only new addition in the latest update. New items have been added, including a new tier of armor called the SWAT-style Assault Armor tier. Would-be electricians will be happy to know that an electric prod has been added as well, along with new greenhouse and glass tile-sets for people keen on growing plants in the best place possible.
Special tags and custom hat skins are now available for people involved in the back-end of the game, such as the Wildcard Admin Team, Non-Admin Team, Authorized External Testers, and Dev Kit Masters. Finally a stability improvement has been made to saving and loading speeds.
