The Coalition Confirms One Shot One Kill Mode for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition

Developer The Coalition has confirmed that fan-favorite mode One Shot One Kill (OSOK) will be added to Gears of War: Ultimate Edition sometime in March.

Taking to the Gears of War Twitter account last week, The Coalition created an open poll that asked the community to decide on whether or not the Boltok Pistol should be paired alongside the Longshot Sniper Rifle for the special event.

The Gears community, however, voted against the Boltok’s inclusion in OSOK, leaving it to be all-out sniper warfare when the playlist is introduced to the Ultimate Edition’s multiplayer next month.

Towards the end of 2015, The Coalition celebrated the festive season with a seventeen-day-long Gearsmas event that brought double XP and the addition of two multiplayer modes — ‘BTTE TDM’ and ‘Shotty Snipes’ — to the Ultimate Edition.

The Ultimate Edition, which will eventually be heading to PC, includes beta access for The Coalition’s next installment in the franchise, Gears of War 4.

In other news, Microsoft revealed that the critically acclaimed Gears of War 2 is one of the titles being featured in February’s Games with Gold lineup.
