The new Nintendo President, Tatsumi Kimishima, answered some questions from investors at a recent Nintendo financial results briefing and the president revealed some interesting information about Nintendo’s future. Kimishima stated that software development for the Nintendo 3DS will stay in production and they are some being produced now that cannot be announced at this current time. As for the Wii U, the ten million units that’s been sold worldwide is not enough compared to the 3DS’s 54 million. He would like to repeat the financial and critical successes of Splatoon and Super Mario Maker to help the console.
Additionally, he says Nintendo is speculating how customers will perceive and react to their smart device applications. No information about the NX was revealed.
