It’s hard not to feel nostalgic when looking at the box art for Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Coming out in the early days of the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube generation, Ty was one of the most memorable third-party platformers of the era. Sadly it’s been difficult to relieve this thylacine action unless you still have your trusty retro consoles still hooked up.
Thankfully, that’s all about to change as developer Krome Studios have just announced that the 2002 game will be released for PC.
The PC version will sport updated HD visuals and a few “special modifications.” Further details are currently sparse, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated before the game is released to Steam Early Access in March.
The remaster follows the release of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 4 late last year.
