The Walking Dead: Michonne Release Date Revealed, New Screenshots

The first episode in the Walking Dead miniseries that tells the story of Michonne will be released on February 23.

The miniseries will run for three episodes in total (hence the miniseries) and will connect itself to the comic book world rather than the TV series like the story of Clementine does. “Haunted by her past, and coping with unimaginable loss and regret, the story explores Michonne’s absence between issues #126 and #139 of the comic book,” Telltale wrote, signifying its separation from the other Walking Dead Telltale series.

Michonne is played by the award-winning actress Samira Wiley, who is best known for her role in Orange is the New Black as Poussey.

Episode 1 is titled, “In Too Deep” and will have Michonne join the crew of The Companion, a sailing ship led by a man named Pete. A distress signal calls them to shore to find the remains of a massacre and maybe the man behind it all.

In Too Deep will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita and Steam on the 23rd and on iOS and Android on the 25th. The episode will cost $5 alone, or $15 for access to episodes 2 and 3. Episode 2 will be called “Give No Shelter” and will release some time in March, followed by “What We Deserve” in April.

Telltale has also been working on a Batman series, if you didn’t already know, so check that out too.
