Gears of War: Ultimate Edition developer The Coalition will soon be revealing new details on the highly anticipated Gears of War 4.
The news comes from The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson, who responded to a Twitter user asking about the lack of Gears of War 4 news since the title was revealed at Microsoft’s 2015 E3 press conference.
In his tweet (see below), Fergusson posted a GIF that features a scene from Epic Games’ Gears of War 3, with Marcus Fenix and the members of Delta Squad looking at a computer screen. The GIF, amusingly, reveals that the message on the screen says the word “#Soon.”

Gears of War 4, which is the first main installment since Gears of War 3’s release in 2011, is scheduled to have a beta take place sometime in the spring of 2016.
For those interested in receiving early access to the beta, it simply requires logging into Xbox Live and playing the Ultimate Edition before March 1, 2016.
In other Gears of War news, The Coalition announced last week that a new title update had been implemented for the Ultimate Edition, with some big changes being made to two modes — Execution and Blitz — in the title’s online multiplayer.
Additionally, Ultimate Edition fans can look forward to One Shot One Kill mode being added to the title in March.
Powered using the Unreal Engine 4, Gears of War 4 will launch in the fall of 2016 exclusively for Xbox One.
