Publisher Microïds has announced the Fall release date for Yesterday Origins, an adventure game by Pendulo Studios. Fans of the Runaway saga will be familiar with Pendulo Studios’ talent for the genre, and newcomers can expect an adventure game with mystery and globe-trotting. Yesterday Origins marks Pendulo Studios’ first foray into 3D games, along with realistic physics, cel-shaded graphics, and dynamic shadows.
Yesterday Origins follows aptly named protagonist John Yesterday, and his partner Pauline, on their travels around the world during multiple time periods. John and Pauline are also immortals, so their tale spans through such times as the current era, ranging to the medieval times via flashbacks. It’s unfortunate for an immortal like John, as he finds himself accused of witchcraft by the Spanish Inquisition, and an object ire from the Church authorities. Despite this, most of John’s and Pauline’s adventure occurs in modern day, as they seek the origins of immortality itself. The game is fully voiced and will be in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian and Polish.
