Dishonored 2’s Release Date Announced, Gameplay Premiere Confirmed for E3 2016

Publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer Arkane Studios have announced on Tuesday an official release date for the highly anticipated action-adventure stealth RPG title Dishonored 2.

Dishonored 2, the sequel to 2012’s award-winning Dishonored, will launch worldwide on November 11, 2016, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

In addition to a release date confirmation, Bethesda revealed in its press release that the first gameplay footage for Dishonored 2 would premiere at Bethesda’s 2016 E3 media briefing.

Bethesda’s conference is set to take place in Los Angeles, California, on June 12 at 7 p.m. PST, which will be streamed on both the publisher’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

Dishonored 2 was first announced at Bethesda’s inaugural E3 press conference in 2015. At the same conference, Dishonored: Definitive Edition, a remaster for PS4 and Xbox One that included enhanced visuals and all DLC from the original title, was also revealed.

Taking place 15 years after the events of the first Dishonored, Dishonored 2 sees the return of main protagonist Corvo Attano, but the sequel will also allow players the option to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin.

Despite there being two playable characters in Dishonored 2, Bethesda and Arkane have already ruled out a co-op feature for the title last year.
