Peter Meyenburg, the former EMEA Corporate PR lead at Japanese company Rakuten (pictured above), has now taken on the role of head of PR at InnoGames, the German-based developer announced on Tuesday.
“In this role, he will lead the department, which controls all external communication, as well as internal communication at the company’s Hamburg and Dusseldorf offices,” InnoGames explained in a press release.
“Meyenburg will report directly to chief marketing officer Christian Pern, and will be influential not only in employee relations, but in the representation of the InnoGames brand overall.”
Pern also commended InnoGames’ acquisition of Meyenburg’s services, believing that the former Rakuten PR lead’s experience of working in the western markets will be valuable.
“InnoGames always has been, and will continue to be, a very internationally focused company, which will benefit greatly from Peter’s deep cultural knowledge,” he added. “I am confident he is the right spokesperson to represent us and am looking forward to working closely together.”
InnoGames, which was founded in 2007 by Hendrik Klindworth, Eike Klindworth and Michael Zillmer, specializes in publishing and developing titles for mobile devices and web browsers.
Games produced by InnoGames include Tribal Wars, The West, Forge of Empires and Elvenar.
