Mass Effect: Andromeda Officially Pushed into 2017

Originally announced as a late 2016 release date, BioWare’s next installment into the award winning Mass Effect franchise won’t hit on time. While it was suggested that the game would miss its 2016 window in EA’s yearly fiscal report a couple of months ago, BioWare has confirmed this finding.

In a post from the General Manager at BioWare, Aaryn Flynn, Aaryn stated that, “as we’ve been playing the game at the studio recently, it’s showing us that we’re taking the game in the right direction. But we also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be – that’s our commitment from all of us to all of you. Because of that, Mass Effect: Andromeda will now ship in early 2017.”

Fortunately, Aayrn has given more details on the game, saying it will give even more freedom to the player, allow for numerous uncharted worlds to explore and just boasts about what they’re able to accomplish with the Frostbite engine. More information will come out at EA Play on June 12.
