When backwards compatibility was first announced for the Xbox One, one of the first games revealed was Call of Duty: Black Ops 1. It was one of the most-beloved entries in the series, and a game that many were shocked wasn’t among the first wave of releases. Today, Major Nelson confirmed that Black Ops is now playable on the Xbox One. Owners of the digital copy of it, which is on sale this would, should find it in their My Games and Apps area on the Xbox One. Trying a disc-based copy of the game didn’t allow us to play it – but perhaps a small firmware update is coming later today that will enable it.
