Gameplay of Cancelled Elder Scrolls PSP Title Appears then Disappears

We wouldn’t blame you for not knowing that there was an Elder Scrolls title on PSP that was cancelled in the middle of development. However, if you have always been curious as to what a first-person Elder Scrolls title would look like on the original Sony handheld system, you’re in luck, as footage of The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion has surfaced online, thanks to the folks over at PtoPOnline.

Much like the cancelled Saints Row game for PSP, The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion toes the line between looking amazing and being far too janky for its own good. Word on the street is that there simply weren’t enough funds available to make this title everything that it could be, though to be fair, this is pretty much why every game is cancelled in the first place.

Be sure to stay tuned for the inevitable leaks of more cancelled PSP games, as it seems to be a continuing trend in 2016.

Update: Bethesda has issued a copyright claim on the original video, thus causing it to be pulled down. The original footage contained general gameplay, including speaking with NPCs and picking up items. If we locate another copy of the video, we’ll be sure to update the article accordingly.
