Frontier Developments have confirmed that the latest expansion to their space combat and exploration title, Elite: Dangerous, will be made available on Xbox One starting June 3. The add-on, titled Horizons, will be priced both separately — at $29.99/£19.99/€24.99 for the US, UK & Europe respectively — as well as a bundle together with the original game at $59.99/£39.99/€49.99. What’s more, all future updates will be made available simultaneously for both PC & Xbox One.
PC users who purchased the Season Pass for Elite Dangerous will get their hands on the next expansion, The Engineers, for free on May 26, which introduces “a dense loot and crafting mechanic, allowing you to create unique and powerful modules for your ship, and add experimental effects to your weapons.” Planetary Landings has also been made available, which allows you “to touch down on planet surfaces, explore beautiful and vast landscapes in your surface recon vehicle and assault enemy fortifications.”
While the game is currently only available on Xbox One & PC, Elite Dangerous will be coming to PS4 at a later date, though no release date or window for Sony’s platform has so far been confirmed. HardcoreGamer have reached out to Frontier for comment on this.
