This year is a big one for video game adaptations. From kid-friendly animated comedies like Ratchet and Clank and Angry Birds, to more serious flicks like the upcoming Assassin’s Creed and Warcraft films, Hollywood is beginning to show a definite interest in the video game industry.
The newest addition to the roster of game-to-movie adaptations? Fruit Ninja.
As detailed by the Hollywood Reporter, Fruit Ninja developer Halfbrick Studios is teaming up with producer Tripp Vinson (best known for his work on 2015’s San Andreas) to adapt the game for the big screens, with J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani penning the script.
