Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Memorial Day Online Event Confirmed

Developer Naughty Dog has confirmed that it will be holding a special community event for the critically acclaimed Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Arne Meyer, director of communications at Naughty Dog, posted on the developer’s website that additional bonuses will be added to Uncharted 4’s online multiplayer this weekend.

First up, a fifty percent increase will come into effect for all Relics earned from online-based challenges, while a seventy percent discount will be applied to all Vanity item bundles.

Naughty Dog has revealed that the bonus rewards will begin from Friday, May 27, at 12:00 p.m. PT (8:00 p.m. CET) and will last until Tuesday, May 31, at 12:00 p.m. PT (8:00 p.m. CET).

According to Meyer, the Uncharted 4 online event is to commemorate Memorial Day and also a “thank you to all our awesome fans.”

“We thought this was the perfect time to run our first promotion in Uncharted 4 multiplayer as a thank you to all our awesome fans who made Uncharted 4 such a successful launch and built a strong MP community,” he wrote.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

As part of its ongoing support for Uncharted 4 players to experience a smooth, balanced and bug-free online, Naughty Dog deployed its latest patch, Update 1.04.016, earlier this week. Learn more about the main changes applied to Uncharted 4’s online here.

Since its release earlier this month, Uncharted 4 has received both critical recognition and commercial success.

Combining its digital and physical sales, Uncharted 4 has already exceeded 2.7 million units being sold worldwide, making it the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 first-party title to date. Additionally, Uncharted 4 is still holding the top spot on the UK sales chart for a second consecutive week.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End earned a near-perfect score from Hardcore Gamer.

Hardcore Gamer’s Adam Beck said the following in his review: “Naughty Dog has done it again, creating a cinematic marvel that sets the bar for the action genre. There are a couple of off moments throughout the story and the multiplayer, while a decent component, lacks the variety other games deliver, but the thirteen-hour single-player campaign will blow you away.

“It’s filled with an intriguing mystery, heart-wrenching emotional scenes, incredibly over the top set pieces and, of course, the humor fans have come to love from our plucky (now older) hero and his trusty sidekicks. This truly is the sendoff Nathan Drake deserves, as all of his adventures have led up to this monumental event.”
