Square Enix continues their push forward with one of the best active MMORPGs on the market: Final Fantasy XIV. It has been nearly a year since Heavensward was released upon the market, marking the game’s fist major expansion pack, but the Japanese developers continues to release “incremental” updates.
Maybe incremental isn’t the best word to describe this as these patches are generally significant in size, but in comparison to the Heavensward expansion, they are small. Regardless, Square Enix will be releasing Patch 3.3, titled Revenge of the Horde, very soon and in it we get a whole bunch of new activities to partake in.
The Weeping City of Mhach comes in the form of a 24-player raid for players with 205 item level or higher. If you’re not into raiding, there’s a new 8-player boss fight on The Final Steps of Faith where players will confront Nidhogg in an epic battle. Outside of that and various new story-related quests, there will be new beast tribe quests, mounts, minions, emotes, recipes, and hairstyles available.
Revenge of the Horde will be available free of charge to any active Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward users starting June 7. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is available for PC, PS4 and PS3.
