Batman: Arkham Knight is apparently getting a Game of the Year Edition according to a massive retailer.
Amazon Germany has gone and outed Batman: Arkham Knight Game of the Year Edition. According to one of the world’s largest retailers, the Game of the Year Edition will launch this July on PS4 and Xbox One. Based on the listing, it does not look like Warner Bros. intends to release the edition for the troubled PC version. This isn’t that surprising considering that Warner Bros. never could fix the original release.
Though the listing doesn’t specifically mention it, it is likely that all previously released DLC will be included. In fact, the box art promotes the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice DLC released November 2015. I think its safe to say all DLC will be included in this package.
This should be taken with a grain of salt, but it is likely true. The listing has been up for a day now, and has yet to be removed. Also, there is historical precedent to consider. Warner Bros. did release Game of the Year Editions of Arkham Asylum and Arkham Knight that included all previously released DLC. Batman: Arkham Origins, however, did not get a Game of the Year Edition. We’ll let you know if Warner Bros. or Rocksteady make an announcement.
In the meantime, you can look forward to Batman: Return to Arkham. This remastered collection comes with Batman: Arkham Knight, Batman: Arkham City, and all previously released DLC for both games. Return to Arkham is out July 29. Unfortunately, Batman: Arkham Origins is not included.
