Top-down dungeon crawlers are nothing new, but it’s nice to see indie developers continuing to experiment with a tried and true formula. While inspired by the likes of Zelda and The Binding of Isaac, Hashtag Dungeon uses Twitter posts for access to new dungeons.
This could be an amazing or unfortunate idea depending on how many people play through Hashtag Dungeon. Basically, Twitter serves as a publishing platform akin to Steam Workshop. Players create rooms, enemies, traps, and more via the Dungeon Editor.
After downloading some user-generated stages then it’s time to go forth and defeat the internet’s worst dungeons in Hashtag Dungeon. It’s currently on sale for $7.19 on Steam.
