PaperSeven, an indie studio out of Brighton, UK, announced a story-driven first-person adventure game today by the name of Blackwood Crossing. The game’s story revolves around the relationship between orphaned siblings Scarlett and Finn. The two children are getting older and as Scarlett reaches adulthood, the age gap begins to strain her relationship with Finn. Their troubles weave into a magical adventure once the pair meet a mysterious figure on an otherwise-normal train ride. Composed of former Disney Black Rock Studio developers (Pure, Split/Second), PaperSeven is taking a departure from their racing-centric history to work on a narrative adventure game with characters meant to deviate from what we’ve come to expect from the medium.
