Reminder the LCS Kicks Off Today with Some Changes

The LCS is back and kicking things off with be the EU guys going solo today.

For the most part the landscape of the EU LCS hasn’t changed, but a major change coming to both sides is the implementation of Bo2s and Bo3s. The EU will be taking the former making things run about the same time as they usually do.

The first two matches of the day will be H2k vs Roccat and a rematch of the EU LCS finals with Origen vs G2, both starting at 10 a.m. After that two more games will follow and it’ll each day will end with a solo game.

In the NA LCS we’ll be seeing the latter of the two formats with Bo3s taking place. Riot’s reasoning behind this was that the American audience is far less use to ties than the European audience and they’ll use this as a test to see how things pan out. This though kind of makes the NA schedule kind of wonky.

The NA LCS starts tomorrow and will be at 7 p.m. CDT and these games will not be held simultaneously. At 7 there will be a rematch of the NA LCS Finals between TSM and CLG and following them at 10 p.m. will be newcomer Team Envy vs NRG.

Saturday and Sunday is when the double games start and that’ll be at 2 p.m. with the later games projected to start at 5 p.m. There will only be two sets of games as well, but remember they’ll be Bo3s so a lot of League will be played.

So, how do you watch all of these games happening at once? It’s easy with Riot making separate Twitch pages for them. Now you can watch the first set of games on EULCS1/NALCS1 and the second set on EULCS2/NALCS2. Split predictions will come out next week.
