Rainbow Six Siege Starter Edition Now Available

For a limited time only, Ubisoft has released a ‘Starter Edition’ of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. This starter edition, which is available at the discounted price of $14.99, includes all of the game’s maps, game modes, weapons and attachments, including those released as post-launch DLC.

The main difference between the standard edition of the game and the starter edition is how each playable character is unlocked. While it only takes a small amount of time to unlock an ‘Operator’ in the standard edition, the starter edition requires more grinding to unlock an Operator using in-game currency. Players can also choose to simply pay an additional fee to unlock Operators more quickly should they choose. A full list of differences between the two versions can be found at Ubisoft’s FAQ page.

The Starter Edition of Rainbow Six Siege is available on both uPlay and Steam until June 19th; there is no equivalent version on consoles. If you’re still unsure about Rainbow Six Siege, be sure to check out our review.
