After much speculation and leaks, Injustice 2 has finally been announced. As the first game was, Injustice 2 is a fighting game from highly acclaimed NetherRealm Studios, featuring over-the-top, comic book action. Interesting enough, there will be a loot drop system that will give players gear to equip to their characters, fashioning out their favorite super heroes or villains.
In the trailer, we see Superman, The Flash, Batman, Aquaman and Supergirl do battle as their outfits transform into unique armor. Among those featured in the trailer, Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd have been confirmed as playable combatants, as well.
Unfortunately, it’s not all positive news. While the game has been announced for PS4 and Xbox One with a release window of sometime next year, there is no current plans for a PC version. Some may breathe a sigh of as Warner Bros. Interactive ports have been less than stellar for quite sometime, but this signals the publisher has potentially given up on the platform rather trying to improve upon their capabilities.
