During the EA Play, the first ever EA-hosted E3 event for both public and press, the massive publisher revealed a unique combination of in-game challenges and charitable donations. With the new Play to Give initiative, players can feel great about playing the games they love, as they’ll be able to contribute to charities simply by unlocking in-game achievements largely based upon cooperation.
He for She, National Center for Women and Information Technology, Code.org, Special Effect and Code 2040 will see contributions based on players completing in-game challenges. The titles involved include Battlefield 4, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Star Wars Battlefront, FIFA 16 and Madden 16.
At the end of EA Play, EA has announced it will donate $1,000,000 to charity to “celebrate the importance of play.”
