So a whole lot of impressive games were shown during Bethesda’s E3 press conference, but a lot of us walked away from it wondering one thing: Where was the rumored sequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order? Well, as it turns out, Bethesda may have dangled the game in front of us the whole time…it was just too quick for us to notice it, though.
However, some intrepid folks on Twitter were quick enough, and took note of the list of titles that appeared in the presentation’s opening “boot up” sequence:

If you can’t tell, that’s a list of previous Bethesda games, with their release dates. And right underneath mentions of The New Order and its standalone expansion The Old Blood, we get a mention of a title with the name “New Colossus,” followed by by a set of asterisks in place of a release date.
So does this mean that Wolfenstein: The New Colossus is set to be revealed soon? Possibly, but if tonight was any indication, we won’t know more until Quakecon later this year. Until then, we’ll just have to dream about what kind of game The New Colossus may be.
