Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens not only marks the triumphant return of the top tier Lego video game franchise, but is also one of the unsung hero’s of Sony’s Press Conference. With all the major announcements hogging the spotlight and the chat forums, it’s easy for Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens to be just another face among the crowd. With a brand new trailer premiering at the show, however, Lego fans get a closer look at the endearing Lego spin on the classic blockbuster film in the new full-length spot filled that highlights Rey’s heroic journey in block form.
One of the most brilliant parodies ever portrayed in Lego form (which will surely get any Star Wars fan to crack a smile) is taken upon the treacherous Kylo Ren as, he has one of his famous tantrums in a teenage version of his bedroom. Warner Bros. has also announced today that a free demo of the game is now available on the PlayStation Store.
Take a test spin in, The Niima Outpost, which will allow fans and new comers alike to join Rey, Finn, and BB-8 as they evade the First Order in they’re daring escape from Jakku. Players will be able to experience new features which include, taking on Storm Troopers in Blaster Battles, utilizing Multi-Builds to explore the wreckage of Imperial Star Destroyers and Piloting the Millennium Falcon in high sky dogfight fashion against First Order Tie-fighters! Unfortunately for Xbox One owners, the demo won’t be available until June 14 at 3:00pm PD on the Xbox Marketplace, but don’t let that get you down.
