With the recent retail release, and tepid reception, of Mighty No. 9, Kickstarter-funded gaming has become a hot topic once again. While Mega Man fans may be feeling a bit bummed, Metroidvania fans who backed Koji Igarashi’s Bloodstained Kickstarter are overjoyed. Steam keys for Bloodstained’s E3 demo are being sent out and the public response so far has been overwhelmingly positive.
NeoGAF is going crazy over how good things feel and the Bloodstained sub-reddit loves it as well. If you don’t have a code yet, then you’re out of luck for this demo – but you can still put some funding in via Fangamer for the beta test coming later this year. The full game is set for release in March 2017 for the Xbox One, Wii U, PS Vita, Steam, and via a DRM-free release on GOG.
