With so many impressive and gorgeous 2D indie games coming out this year, it definitely feels like one or two can occasionally slip through the cracks, no matter how impressed we were when we first saw how the games looked in action. In some cases, it’s simply just because it’s been a long time since we last heard from them. Case in point, the last time we heard from the 2D metroidvania game Hollow Night was seven months ago, when it gave us a “Furious Foes” trailer showing off its wide assortment of enemies. Thankfully, developers Team Cherry have now finally released another new trailer for the game, which you can check out below.
The new trailer, called “Beneath and Beyond,” serves to show off even more of the ancient kingdom of Hallownest that you’ll be exploring, along with more of its insect denizens. Hollow Knight truly looks like an astonishing platformer indeed and a potential sleeper hit, so here’s hoping it continues to impress up until it gets released on PC and Wii U later this year.
