Square Enix has reiterated that Rise of the Tomb Raider is still coming to PS4 holiday 2016.
You’d be forgiven for forgetting that Rise of the Tomb Raider isn’t just an Xbox and PC game. Square Enix confirmed a year ago that PS4 players would indeed be getting Rise of the Tomb Raider, but not until holiday 2016. We’re more than halfway there, E3 2016 has come and gone, and there still hasn’t been any word about the PS4 version. This does raise some concern.
A fan took to the European Square Enix forums asking if the PS4 version had been cancelled. Square Enix replied, but didn’t divulge any details.
“As stated previously, Rise of the Tomb Raider’s PlayStation 4 release is set for Holiday 2016.”
This is good news for the many Tomb Raider fans on PS4, but it would have been nice to get a few more details. A proper release date, whether or not the game will come with all previously released DLC, and if there would be any new content are all questions that need answering. Hopefully, we’ll get some of them soon. Rise of the Tomb Raider is available now on Xbox One, PC, and Xbox 360.
