Resident Evil 4 Hits Xbox One, PS4 in August

Following their schedule of releasing a game every couple of months, Capcom has announced that arguably the best action-oriented Resident Evil game will be coming in late August. Resident Evil 6 kicked off Capcom’s 2016 release schedule in March, with Resident Evil 5 coming just over a week ago.

Resident Evil 4 has had a long history since its initial debut in 2005. It originally came out on Gamecube and then ported to PlayStation 2 a few months later. A PC version was released in 2007, which was a terrible port that mirrored the company’s past attempts to break onto the platform (such as Devil May Cry 3), and then remastered for the open platform in 2014, which was significantly better. It then came to Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, mobile  and now finally PS4 and Xbox One.

It’s a classic game that will undoubtedly continue being ported to future platforms. Resident Evil 4 will be released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 30.
