Oculus Claim Initial Pre-Orders Finally Fulfilled

It’s not been the easiest of months recently for Oculus. With reports of early pre-orders shipping long after their expected release and some users stating units had already arrived in retail stores, the wait has been lengthy for those who invested early in the VR headset. But it would appear that problem has finally been resolved. Better yet, posting via an update earlier today, Oculus now claim that all new future orders will ship between two and four business days — suggesting that new shipments won’t come with any previous manufacturing and component issues that plagued the first wave of orders.

“We want to apologize for the delays in getting Rifts to doorsteps,” Oculus explained. “We appreciate that without your support, VR wouldn’t be where it is today. Thank you for your patience over the past few months. We’ve also started to ramp up inventory for retail partners online and in stores, and added more Rift demos at new retail locations across the US.”

With a promise on additional stock, here’s hoping this clears the web of the more infamously high-priced units out there.
