Battlefield 1 Open Beta Planned for Post-Gamescom 2016

Publisher Electronic Arts and developer DICE have plans to hold an open beta for the upcoming first-person shooter title Battlefield 1 after Gamescom 2016.

In a post on the Battlefield subreddit (via Battlefield Bulletin), Reddit user jumperjumpzz noted that during a Twitch Q&A livestream hosted by Battlefield’s German community manager, it was suggested that a beta for Battlefield 1 is coming soon.

Rush, a mode that has featured in multiple Battlefield installments, will also be making its return for Battlefield 1, the community manager confirmed.

EA and DICE officially announced Battlefield 1 back in May, with the publisher confirming at E3 last month that the World War I shooter would make its way to Xbox One first for EA Access members.

Battlefield 1 launches worldwide on October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
