Bigben Interactive have today confirmed that World Rally Championship 6 — or WRC 6 for short — will release this fall in October. Alongside this the publisher, together with developer Kylotonn, have released the game’s first official trailer which you can check out below. As well as covering the entirety of the WRC calendar in terms of events, racers and drivers, the publishers promise, based on player feedback, “to completely understand the expectations of racing fans when it comes to rallying.”
“Roads were too wide in WRC 5? They will be narrower and more bumpy in WRC 6,” Alain Jarniou, Game Kylotonn’s Game Director Alain Jarniou goes on. “Stages were sometimes too short? We created new longer stages and reworked everything to make them longer and more challenging. These are just a few examples of the massive improvements we are bringing to WRC 6…” Alongside a standard release (across PS4, Xbox One & PC) WRC 6 has also been shown to feature compatibility with VR, though Bigben have not commented or confirmed whether a VR equivalent will release alongside. Nevertheless, WRC 6 was a notable highlight when it came to VR at this year’s E3.
