Two New Characters to be Announced for Injustice 2 at Comic-Con 2016

Ed Boon has confirmed that NetherRealm will be announcing two new characters for Injustice 2 at Comic-Con later this month.

NetherRealm Studios is gearing up to set the comic and gaming world on fire with Injustice 2. The highly anticipated fighting game was announced at E3 along with seven fighters. An additional eighth character was announced, but not shown off (Wonder Woman). Who else will join the roster? Well we’re going to find out soon.

NetherRealm is hosting an Injustice 2 Comic-Con panel on Friday, July 22 from 12:30pm-1:130pm PST. Ed Boon, NetherRealm’s studio head, has confirmed that two new characters will be revealed.

Though we’ll have to wait a week to learn who these characters are, Ed Boon did leave a few hints. A Neogaf user listened to an interview on EPNdotTV where Boon was asked what comic books to read to information on the upcoming characters. He responded with The Killing Joke and Flashpoint. It sounds likely that The Joker will be making his return. As for Flashpoint, it could be a number of different characters, including Reverse-Flash, Booster Gold, Kid Flash, or someone else.

Injustice 2 is out sometime in 2017 on PS4 and Xbox One. The already confirmed characters are Aquaman, Atrocitus, Batman, Flash, Gorilla Grodd, Supergirl, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
