Today, on the 25th Anniversary of the hugely popular Fatal Fury franchise, legendary developer and publisher SNK have used the official Playstation Blog to announce the return of the Neo Geo and Dreamcast classic, Garou: Mark of the Wolves (titled Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves on Dreamcast). Garou: Mark of the Wolves will be developed by Code Mystics for both PS4 and Vita. The game will support cross-buy. The decision to revamp the classic fighting game was apparently made after it was heavily requested in a Playstation Nation survey.
The announcement is a fairly short one. Online multiplayer, cross-play support, an unlockable gallery mode and the ability to sample the original soundtrack are the only features to be announced so far. Unfortunately, no release date was provided. Regardless, we are sure we aren’t the only ones excited to see a new version of an age old classic.
