Star Wars Battlefront’s Fourth DLC is Rogue One

EA and Dice have revealed that the fourth DLC pack for Star Wars Battlefront will feature locations, weapons, and heroes from the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

It has been long-rumored that the fourth Star Wars Battlefront DLC would tie-in to the upcoming Rogue One film. After all, it was pretty conspicuous that EA set the release date for the DLC for after the film launches. Today, during the EA Star Wars panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe, Dice confirmed that the fourth DLC is all about Rogue One.

All of the maps will take place on Scarif, the tropical planet featured in the Rogue One trailers. The playable heroes will be Jyn Erso for the Rebels, and Director Orson Krennic (pictured below) for the Empire. No other details were given.

The Rogue One DLC will wrap up all support for Star Wars Battlefront. Today, EA and Dice also released new details for Death Star, Battlefront’s third expansion pack. The new heroes are Chewbacca and Bossk, and there will finally be space combat. Death Star is out in September for Season Pass holders. The Rogue One DLC won’t be out until 2017.
