Sony has finally dated Gravity Rush 2, the anticipated sequel to the PS Vita original.
Gravity Rush 2 will launch December 2 on PS4. The release date comes four years after the first game launched on PS Vita, and mere months after it was remastered for PS4. Those who pre-order the game will receive the white costume DLC for Kat, and the Select Soundtrack featuring nine tracks from the game. Those who pre-order from the PlayStation Store starting August 2 will also get ten PSN avatars from the game.
Sony has also confirmed that they will be launching a brand new anime called Gravity Rush The Animation “Overture.” The anime will launch before Gravity Rush 2 and bridges the gap between the original and the sequel. Studio Khara (Rebuild of Evangelion) will produce, and Sony will share more information about the anime in the near future.
Gravity Rush 2 takes place after the events of the original game. Kat, Raven, and Syd return to fight the ever-growing threat of the Nevi. The newly released trailer focuses on Angel, a superhero who allies herself with Kat. All of her abilities are on display in the trailer.
