Telltale Games is celebrating San Diego Comic-Con a bit early by releasing some new details about the third season of The Walking Dead.
Fans excited to learn what happened to Clementine after the events of the second season of The Walking Dead won’t have to wait much longer. Season three premieres this fall, and Creative Director Dennis Lenart from Telltale and Melissa Hutchison (voice of Clementine) have released some juicy details about it. The Telltale team also premiered a very special poster.
The Walking Dead: Season Three takes place a few years after the events of Season 2. Clementine is a little older and more capable at holding her own against Walkers and hostile humans. Season 3 will not only continue the events of Season 1 and 2, but also serve as a new entry point for new players. Telltale pointed to the character AJ, who just so happens to be the son of Rebecca from Season 2, as an example. Players who are new to the series will have a chance to learn more about Clementine’s history, and those that have played can enjoy a story uniquely tailored to the paths they took in past seasons.
Lenart also talked about Javier, a brand new playable character who is struggling to keep his family together. He has no prior relationship to Clementine, and that players will be able to shape how he feels about her from scratch.
The Walking Dead: Season Three premieres this fall. Telltale Games promises more news and info in the coming months.
