Adam Boyes, the former vice president of third-party relations and developer technology at Sony Interactive Entertainment, has been named CEO of Iron Galaxy Studios.
Boyes shocked the PlayStation world earlier this month when he revealed he was stepping down in order to return to game development. Today, in an interview with GamesBeat, Boyes revealed that had accepted the CEO position at Iron Galaxy Studios. He replaces current CEO Dave Lang, though Lang will continue to work on future prototypes and business development.
Adam Boyes is best known through his work at Sony, cultivating strategic third-party partnerships for the PlayStation brand. This includes switching Call of Duty’s allegiance from Xbox to PlayStation starting with Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Iron Galaxy Studios is best known for some flattering projects like Killer Instinct and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, and some not so flattering projects like the much-maligned PC ports of Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Knight.
We wish Mr. Boyes good fortune in all his future endeavors at Iron Galaxy Studios!
