Pokémon Go-ers and citizens in the Lower Garden District area of New Orleans, Louisiana may stumble upon a wild Pikachu in their travels. Over night, a large statue of the iconic character appeared atop a defunct water fountain.
It seems to be made of fiberglass and painted to look bronze. The base has an engraved hashtag for folks to tag their find on social media using #Pokemonument so others can take a look. It may have been erected illegally but we are hoping it can stay around for a long time.
With enough feedback, perhaps it will actually end up as a PokéStop to visit in the game. Take a look at some before and after shots below and just ponder what other Pokémon statues may pop up in the near future.
