The PT-like spiritual successor Allison Road, that was canceled nearly two months ago by developer Lilith LTD without too much explanation as to why, has now been brought back to life by its creator Christian Kesler. In an interview with IGN, Kesler talks about bringing back Allison Road with his new studio Far From Home.
“I’m actually really happy to be able to announce that [Allison Road] will continue,” Kesler said, “we had a lot of support online and some folks out there are just incredibly nice,” he cited as the driving force for reviving the title
Despite this, Kesler did conceded it wasn’t easy stepping back to the drawing broad with his indie horror project. “It did take a bit of soul searching to find the drive again to work on Allison Road and to simply make a call on what to do next. After the set back, I took a bit of a break from working on it and re-evaluated all the work that had been done so far,” he said, in his interview, which you can read in full over at IGN.
Allison Road was first revealed in July last year with a terrifying trailer and a Kickstarter that would eventually be canceled. Kesler talked shortly after the games reveal that his was working on bringing the game to PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC, but it’s not clear what platforms the game will be launching on.
Let’s cross our collective fingers and hope that this is the last hiccup in the game’s development, and that we’ll be spooked by this Silent Hills lookalike very soon.
