If you remember the days when simulated warfare was simulated a bit less realistically than it is now, then you’re going to love what the recently rebranded THQ Nordic has done today.
THQ Nordic has officially acquired the assets of Novalogic, the company behind cult classic military simulators like Delta Force (not to be confused with Marcus Phoenix’s lovable group of roid-ragers) and F-22. What this means for THQ Nordic’s upcoming development plans, which almost certainly include a third Darksiders installment, is anyone’s guess at this point. Here’s a full list of the IP that THQ Nordic has acquired during the Novalogic asset sale:
- Delta Force
- Joint Operations
- Armored Fist
- Tachyon: The Fringe
According to THQ Nordic’s business development director Reinhard Pollice, the publisher is extremely excited to get to work on these IP, but note that no plans are active just yet.
“We are extremely satisfied with the new additions to our portfolio, and also very thrilled about how to continue some of said franchises. We are open for talks in this regard if any developer approaches us with a concept for a potential sequel to any IP.”
